5.0 out of 5 stars Screwdriver, 20 July 2011

I needed a replacement Drill/Driver that was more than just a DIY Toy and this fits the bill.
When arthritic wrists mean you can't hold a manual screwdriver effectivly this bit of kit held with two hand means you can still manage household DIY jobs.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Drill, Good Price, but...., 12 July 2011
This review is from: Silverline Drill Driver 14.4V (DIY & Tools)
Without waffling on for ages, this drill is cheap. As such the quality of build is also cheap. Accept that and there is no problem It works well and does just the job you have bought it for, but don't drop it, it will break not bounce as other more expensive drills do. The charger, it has to be mentioned, has almost no meaningful instructions. Ignore the LED's they mean nothing (took mine apart to check!) It is implied that you put the battery on charge, the CHARGING LED goes out and then to wait until the STAND LED goes out then it is OK to use the battery, not so, they are just across the supply and will never go out unless you remove the battery from the charger. Charge the battery for the recommended time 3-5 hours (which info you will find in the Specifications NOT the instructions!!) I assume the charger has an 'intelligent' version for the more expensive models that does time charges etc but don't be fooled by the LED's ! Over all, this is a case of you get what you pay for, it... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars silverline drill 14.4v, 24 Jan 2012
This review is from: Silverline Drill Driver 14.4V (DIY & Tools)
battery charger did not work, battery was flat, could not be used, sent back. a working unit would probably be worth more than one star, but in this case one star is all that is merited. ordered a drapper which fulfilled all my needs.
